Getting started
Set up your account and build your first family tree.
Adding your first family members
Start with yourself, then add parents, siblings, or children. KYNN automatically builds the connections between generations.
Navigating your tree
Pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and tap any person to open their profile. Use the search bar to jump to anyone in your tree.
Recording memories
Capture voices, stories, photos, and videos.
Recording audio on phone or desktop
Open a profile, tap Record, and allow microphone access. You can pause, re-record, and add a title before saving.
Recording video memories
Tap the video icon on any profile. Hold the device steady, frame your subject, and tap stop when you're done. Files are uploaded automatically.
Uploading photos and old recordings
Tap Upload on any profile to add existing photos, scanned documents, voicemails, or home videos from your device.
Writing a story or memory
Every profile has a Stories tab where you can type or paste written memories — perfect for the long ones you've been meaning to write down.
Inviting family
Collaborate on the same tree with the people you love.
Sending a private invite code
Open your tree settings and tap Invite. Share the private code by text, email, or in person. Only people with the code can join.
Setting roles and permissions
Decide who can view, who can contribute, and who can manage your tree. You can change roles or remove access at any time.
Merging contributions from multiple family members
When two people add the same relative, KYNN flags the duplicate so you can merge profiles and combine their stories.

Manage your plan, payment, and data.
Upgrading to KYNN Legacy
Go to Settings → Plan and choose KYNN Legacy ($7.99/month) to unlock cloud sync, unlimited media, automatic backups, and private invite codes.
Updating payment information
Manage your card and billing details under Settings → Billing. Changes take effect on your next renewal.
Canceling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan. Your tree and memories stay with you — only the premium features pause.
Exporting or deleting your data
Request a full export of your tree and media at any time. You can also permanently delete your account from Settings → Privacy.

Keep your family's stories private and secure.
Who can see my tree?
Only people you invite. Your tree is private by default and never appears in public search.
How KYNN protects your data
Your media and stories are encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on secure cloud infrastructure, and backed up automatically on the Legacy plan.
